Counselling

Rachel is a qualified counsellor who is a Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.  Rachel offers counselling on a short term basis (normally up to 12 sessions) or sometimes for longer term therapy to enable clients to safely explore issues with the aim of coping with difficulties more effectively and making healthy life changes.  Rachel is an integrative therapist which means she uses a variety of different counselling approaches according to each client's needs - all of which are delivered in a client-centered way.  Rachel has vast experience of working with difficulties ranging from depression, anxiety, anger, substance and alcohol dependencies, eating problems, relationship and sexual difficulties, bereavement, health problems and chronic pain, work related issues eg stress, bullying, redundancy.  Rachel works within the NHS, in GP surgeries and also runs a private practice in Bolton.

All sessions are conducted in a confidential setting and non-judgemental manner.  Rachel is not aligned to any specific religious or belief system and works with clients from a range of ethnic backgrounds who are gay, bisexual or hetrosexual.  Counselling sessions are offered at £35 for an initial assessment and all subsequent sessions (EAP/employer sponsored £45 per session).  Appointments are available during the day and evenings in Bolton.

 Life Skills Coaching / Training

Rachel is a human resources specialist who offers training and workshops in mediation skills, assertiveness, anger management, stress management and outplacement support.  Rachel also offers life skills and career coaching on a face to face and telephone basis.  Appointments are available during the day and evenings.  

Reiki Training

Rachel is a Reiki Master Teacher who practises traditional Usui Reiki and runs workshops (maximum of 6 per group) from convenient training facilities in North Manchester leading to qualification in levels I and II (Master on request).  Courses are held regularly over weekends for a cost of £85 that include post-course support, comprehensive manual and certificate upon completion of post-course work.

Reiki sessions / Reiki share

Rachel co-runs a free group meditation / Reiki share session on a monthly basis and this is a great way to practice skills and learn more about Reiki from each other. 

One to one Reiki sessions are also offered within the Manchester area including guided meditation and visualisation exercise, cost £20 per session (one hour) or £15 for a 45 minute session.  Taster sessions of half an hour are available on request.
